The class period that we will have our class the whole semester. Hint: it's not Period 1.

The philosophical study of morality (right and wrong) and the meaning of life.

What is logic?
Practical insight for living well as individuals or societies
What is "wisdom"?
From the Greek words philo and sophia, it literally means, "Love of Wisdom."
What is philosophy?
This adorable, fuzzy thing will function much like a "talking stick."
What is the "community ball"?
The study of ultimate reality and what sorts of things are actually real.
What is "metaphysics"?
Are we actually born with some kind of knowledge, or do we only get knowledge by living life?
What is "epistemology"?
He said, "The unexamined life is not worth living."
Who is Socrates?
Philosophy will make you better at these things.
What is "everything you will ever do in your life?"
We will try to shave our time off this little warm-up game at least a couple times a week!
What is "speedball"?
The study of correct reasoning.
Are numbers actually real things?
What is "metaphysics"?
The idea that we should always assume the other thinker's idea is true/correct before we criticize it. This helps a philosopher understand other views and not misrepresent them.
What is the "Principle of Charity"?
Considered the birthplace of philosophy.*
*At least "Western" philosophy, meaning, basically, the kind that came from Europe/America
