What is:

Spain- Mississippians had much animosity (hatred) towards the Spanish. The Spanish enslaved them, forced them to change their language, religion, and ways of life. The Spanish brought many diseases that killed many American Indians, ending the Mississippian period. 

England- A complex relationship between the Indians and the British. They were strong trade partners, but would get in many conflicts due to England taking much land away from the Indians to colonize for themselves. 

France- Had a strong and mutual friendship with the American Indians. Were very strong trade partners (fur trade), and tried to learn a lot from each other. Would eventually fight in a war, mostly together on the same side (French & Indian war) vs. the British.
