 to issue a license but also to revoke, suspend, or deny the renewal of any license. If a dentist is convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor that includes drugs or alcohol, most states will take action. This also includes acting unethically, incompetence, or mental/physical disability that could cause the patient to become injured.
