Because the people were sinful, God must judge sin, and the punishment for sin is death.

The wording in the Bible is clear; it says the water covered the highest hills. Also, Jesus and Peter spoke of the global nature of the Flood. And the rainbow covenant reminds us that the Flood was global. Fossils, including those of sea creatures, are found all over the world—even on top of the tallest mountains.
How did God show His mercy and grace to sinners?
He sent Jesus to take the punishment for sin, so anyone who believes has eternal life through faith in Him.

Who was Cain’s wife?
The Bible gives us all we need to know to figure out that he married his sister or other close relative because that was not forbidden yet. It couldn’t have been a cousin since Adam and Eva had no brothers or sisters.
Is it a good idea to listen to our heart and follow its desires? Why or why not?
No. The Bible describes the evil that is in the heart of every person. We should follow God and do what He has commanded in His Word.

How did God demonstrate mercy when He punished Cain for the sin of murder?
He showed mercy when He allowed him to live and have a family and gave him a mark to warn others not to kill him.
Why did God confuse the languages at Babel?
The people disobeyed God’s command to multiply and fill the earth. Instead they gathered together to build a city and a tower and to make a name for themselves. God was judging their sinful actions and forcing them to fill the earth as He had commanded.
What is one thing we see all over the world that confirms what the Bible says about the confusion of languages?
Accept one of these answers. Similar architecture/tower structures around the world or similar cultures and legends around the world that are similar to the event the Bible describes.
