What is the value of "pi" 7th grade uses most often to solve problems?
3.14
What are the units of area if the radius is in centimeters?
centimeters squared
This is the line that crosses the circle from one side to the other.
Diameter
Describe this angle relationship:
Angles that are across from each other and equal in measure
Vertical Angles
Name this Angle Relationship:
These are angles that are less than 90 degrees.
Acute angle

10 ft
What is the area of a circle if the radius is 6cm ?
113.04 cm2
What do you need in both formulas to find the area and circumference of a circle?
Radius and/or pi are acceptable answers
Describe this angle relationship:
These angles are next to each other and share a common side.
Adjacent Angles
Using a protractor, how do I know which numbers to use when determining the measure of an angle?
Estimating the angle to be above or below 90 degrees will help you determine whether the angle could be 120 degrees or 60 degrees on a protractor, for example.
Calculate the radius of a circle with a circumference of 50.24 in.
8 in
What is the area of a circle if the diameter is 2 yd?
3.14 yd2
Describe what pi is?
Be specific
It is a RATIO!
It is equal to the Circumference/Diameter of a circle
It is an Irrational Number that goes on forever.
It is NOT 3.14!
Describe this angle relationship:
An angle that is less than 180 degrees and has a square symbol within the angle to describe a specific measure.
Right Angle that measures only 90 degrees.
1. If I have the measure of an angle and want to determine the measure of an angle vertical to it, how do I figure out it's measure?
2. What if the angles were adjacent to each other and made a straight line, how would I determine it's measure?
1. Vertical angles are congruent- equal, so it would be the same measure.
2. Supplementary angles make a straight line and are equal to 180 degrees. I could subtract the angle measure I know from 180 to find the measure of the adjacent angle.
