As food moves through the digestive system, nerves help control muscle movements that push food along.

How do the respiratory system and the nervous system work together to help you funciton
The nervous system controls breathing by sending signals from the brain to the lungs and breathing muscles. The brain tells the diaphragm and chest muscles when to contract and relax so we can breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Most of the time, this happens automatically without us thinking about it.
This tropism helps a plant’s stem grow toward light for photosynthesis while causing roots to grow away from light to stay in the soil.
