Fairness.

A person of any age who is working for social change.
Freedom
The right to do and speak how you want within reason.
Grit
Courage and strength.
Protector
A person who defends and protects something.
Trailblazer
A person who is the first to do something that others think is difficult or impossible.
Equal Rights
When people have the same rights and opportunities regardless of gender, race or disability.
Confidence
Feeling good about your own abilities. To have a strong belief in yourself.
Sit In
When people refuse to leave a place where they are discriminated against. A form of protest against segregation.
To show strong feelings or strong beliefs.
Courage
The ability to do something that might scare you. Brave.
Nonviolence
The use of peaceful means to bring about change without using force.
Refused
To choose not to do something. To not be willing to do it.
Urge
To persuade or convince someone to do something.
Resilient
A person who can recover quickly and get back up when things are hard. To not give up.
Bold
Willing to take risks.
Demonstration
An action by a group of people trying to work towards a particular cause. People can protest in different ways including marches, strikes and sit-ins.
Negotiation
A discussion aimed at reaching an agreement.
Strike
When workers refuse to work in order to protest for better working conditions.
Motivated
To be interested or excited to do something.
Preposterous
Ridiculous or foolish. Hard to believe.
Dignity
Being worthy of honor and respect.
Determined
A person who has made a decision that they are going to do something and are committed to it and will not give up.
Discrimination
When people are mistreated and not given equal rights because of their race, gender or disability.
Nourish
To provide food and water needed to survive.
