The census is an example of this form of data, which uses statistical information to understand demographic trends in cities.
What is quantitative data?
an economic theory that attempts to explain the price the people will pay for different land at differing distances from the Central Business District.

A ring of well maintained parks circling the Urban City Center, designed to limit the sprawl of urban areas.

Includes a thriving CBD with a commercial spine where more expensive residential housing and businesses exists.
What is the Latin American model?
the process whereby the character of a poor urban area is changed by wealthier people moving in, improving housing, and attracting new businesses, typically displacing current inhabitants in the process.

The establishment of residential communities on the outskirts of a city. Peripheral urban areas grow as a result of households and businesses moving out of the city centers.

Low income areas are near the city while higher income areas are extended out in the suburbs. There us a beltway connecting various edge cities.

This model has no CBD. The focal point is the Port Zone reflecting a city oriented around exporting. There are zones for Wester merchants.
