What is an abolitionist?
A machine that cleans seeds and unwanted material from cotton way quicker than doing it by hand

Traveled mainly by river and very few railroads

A secret network of free Black people and White people who helped thousands of people escape slavery and go to states without slavery

A revival of religious feeling and belief from the 1800's to the 1840's

The social separation of people, mainly by race

An enslaved man who led one of the biggest rebellions

Long, hot, humid summers and short, mild winters

A man who turned independent, spirited African Americans into humble, obedient enslaved people.

A place enslaved people would practice religion secretly because they got banned from going to church
