The Eastern and Western Fronts have fairly similar strategies in that each side launches sudden offensives against the other in the hopes of gaining more territory, but the Western Front does this while utilizing trenches. Their goal is always to break the enemy’s line using artillery and more troops. The Eastern Front is significantly longer than the Western Front though, so troops there are more concerned with possibly being flanked. There are also significantly more troops on the Eastern Front—due to both the size of the front and the fact that the populations of the two main players were larger.
