Last week, a friend shared a video that’s been spreading quickly online. In the video, a well-known pastor claims that Jesus will return on July 7th, 2027.

The pastor explains that the number 7 in the Bible represents perfection and completion — so the date 7/7/2027 must be a “divinely chosen day.” He also points out that many global events, such as wars, earthquakes, and strange weather, are “clear signs” that the world is coming to an end soon.

Your friend believes the pastor's message and asks you, "Don’t you think this must be true? It’s all matching up with what’s happening in the world!"

What would be a wise and biblical way to respond to your friend?

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” Matthew 25:13

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. Matthew 24:36

For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

What does it mean to "Put on Christ"?

Give some examples on how you have "Put on Christ" in your daily lives

We no longer live our old life, but a new one. We walk with Christ everyday.

Walk in Obedience to His Commandment: We have to walk according to the teachings of the bible, even when we find it challenging. e.g. Love our enemies
Walk in Power from the Holy Spirit: God has given us the precious Holy Spirit so that we can overcome our temptations and power to serve Him. E.g. We pray to God for courage to serve Him.

Just receiving the Holy Spirit isn't enough. It is important that we continue to pray for the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

Can you explain why?

If we are full of the Spirit, it is harder for us to be swayed by the world to sin. Instead, those who are filled with the Spirit are able to display God's love, purity, and power to the people around them. We need to pray for the fullness of the Spirit so that God will always abide in us, bless us with peace, comfort and joy in our hearts.

Lesson 11 Salvation and Lesson 12 Jesus' 2nd Coming:

Explain in detail:
Why do we need Salvation?
How can we obtain Salvation?

God’s original plan:

When God created the world, He intended everything to be good.

What went wrong:

Adam and Eve disobeyed God.

Sin and evil entered the world.

This caused people to be separated from God.

Separation from God brought suffering and death.

God’s rescue plan:

God made a way for people to be saved — through Jesus Christ.

Jesus died and rose again to defeat sin and death.

Salvation is given to us by the grace of God, we do not deserve it.

Why Jesus will come again:

To receive those who believe in Him to eternal life.

To judge those who refuse to repent, leading to eternal death (John 16:8).

To complete God’s salvation plan and make everything right again.

We need to be prepared at all times:

Be watchful & prepared. Be holy and FILLED with the Holy Spirit

Be faithful in our servitude

Show love to our brothers and sisters
