Employees need a continuous path of exit travel containing no obstructions from any point within the workplace to the exit, through the exit (the actual door itself) and to the exit refuge/assembly area.
Do not place packages, either permanently or temporarily, in front of exits or at the top or bottom of a stairway or ladder.

Pick up all packages on the floor whenever entering or exiting a trailer.
If a load is backed up, direct another employee to assist in catching up with the flow of packages.
