Right click on the AM profile under the Waves window in Plan Day and Waves and click "Run Vehicle Lineup Optimizer". You can optimizer for an individual leg as well as the entire station.

How is box/doc volume generated on the Van Lineup, and why might it be different from the box/doc volume in our RMS sheet?

Box/doc volume in the VLU is a percent of the total volume that is forecasted on the particular day, the RMS data provides the percentage breakdown, not the exact volume.

How would we manually override the volume (box or doc) for a given route? What happens to the route after the volume is manually over ridden? 

In the waves loops and routes window, right click on any particular route and click on "edit route volume". The route will now be highlighted in green to signify a manual override.

How do we filter Wave Loops and Routes to only show routes that are currently planned within the VLU? 

Select all routes in the Wave Loops and Routes list and filter to only show routes that are equal to "True". Routes that are planned will also have a vehicle and space number next to the route number.

What is an orphaned route?

A route that has been planned outside of its loop on the VLU.

How would you plan a specific route into a specific spot on your VLU? How would you make sure this route is not erased when you run the VLU optimizer? 

From the Waves Loops and routes window, drag the desired route into the desired VLU Spot. Then right click and hit "lock into place" in order to lock that route into that spot.

In the sort planning view, in the task categories window, selecting Admin or Misc Task Categories.

How do we add information into the Admin or Misc task list?

Right click on any specific Admin or Misc task type to add work to the task.

What do the percentages of each task signify? 

The percentages of each task tell VALET when the majority of the work for that particular task is being done throughout the day.

How do we copy Admin or Misc Varying Demand tasks to other days?

In the edit task type window, under varying demand, select the completed DOW Admin/Misc entry and drag the selected day to the day which the varying demand is to be copied too.

How do we duplicate AM or PM profiles? 

Right click on a completed profile and click "Duplicate Profile"

Right click on the desired profile and hit delete profile.

What do we have to do after duplicating the profiles, and how do we do it?

Assign the completed profiles to the default Day of Week profiles.

True or False: Duplicated profiles can be identical for all DOWs, no additional changes need to be made after duplicating a profile? 

False - Profiles need to be DOW specific, all sort end times, belt configurations, set up profiles and doc sorts need to be specific to the DOW.
