What is the "Opportunity Grant?"
The stage prior to a deposit. Senior Admissions Counselors work with students to complete the steps necessary (completed Family Admissions Call and transcript submission) to receive this.

These individualized meetings with prospective students and families occur over Zoom, and they are the heart of the role of a Senior Admissions Counselor.

Who are "Independent Education Consultants" or IECs?
This is a two word nickname for the months of the Verto admissions cycle between approximately January - April (give or take a few weeks).
What is "channel season?"
This is the kick-off to the student pre-departure experience. Students meet their Location SOA, understand timelines, action items, how to get involved, and meet peers going to the same location.
What is a "group welcome call?"
Students can pay their Verto program fees in a variety of ways, like private loans, external scholarships, or payment plans. This method, a tax-advantaged account, is way to fund their semester.
What is a "529 plan?"
4 out of 5 Student Onboarding Advisors have worked onsite in one of these two locations. (Both required).
Where is Costa Rica and Spain?
In Salesforce, lead objects convert to this type of object once a student completes an online application.
What is an "opportunity?"
We share this work and goal with three other teams - Admissions, Student Financial Services, and On-Site. This single word is a noun, but a casual adjective for this idea within the enrollment world could be "sticky."
What is "retention?"
Number of students landing on-site is not the only important factor in a strong cycle. This is equally important and is the average tuition a student is paying across all locations after internal scholarships are deducted.
What is "Net Tuition Revenue" or NTR?
In Salesforce, Student Onboarding Advisors work from this component of a student’s page/profile/opportunity.
What is the "Enrollment Record?"
This veteran Senior Admissions Counselor began this role in Admissions when it was affectionately known as a “road warrior,” and has done extensive personal international travel.
Who is "Gabriela Granote?"
This person is the Student Onboarding Team veteran Advisor. The only location she has not been an SOA for is Buenos Aires. Ironically, she studied abroad there her freshman year in college!
Who is "Kaylee Koenig?"
This person is the face of SFS for advising students and parents. Behind the scenes, she also awards ALL the scholarships and is a Salesforce wiz at making dashboards and reports to ensure we are tracking everything and able to share for visibility.
