Tell the three types of conjunctions, define all three, and give examples.
1. Coordinating join sentence parts that are the same and work alone (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so)
2. Correlatives join sentence parts that are the same and work in pairs (relatives) (either...or, not only...but also, both...and, whether...or, neither...nor)
3. Subordinating conjunctions start dependent clauses and turn an independent clause into a dependent clause (after, although, as, when, while, until, because, before, if, since).
