What are text features?
How text or what you are reading is organized. They are used to help you understand what you read. For example, heading, bold print, caption, etc.
What is text structure?
How text is organized. There are five different types: chronology, cause and effect, problem/ solution, description, compare and contrast
What is a definition?
Where can I find it?
The meaning of a word, can be found in a dictionary
What is a timeline?
Graph that shows changes or events over time
What is the definition of a secondary sources?

What is a title?
The distinguishing name of a book, poem, picture, piece of music, or the like.

What is a caption?
Describes or tells about a picture, usually next to or underneath a picture
What is a synonym?
A word that means the same as another word
What is a heading?
A title of a page, chapter, or section of a text.
Shows why something happens (cause) and what happens (effect)

What is the table of contents and where can you find it?
Shows the reader what the chapters are and what page to find them on. It helps the reader find information faster.

What is a graph?
A diagram representing a system of connections or interrelations among two or more things by a number of distinctive dots, lines, bars, etc.
What is an antonym?
A word that means the opposite or different than another word
What is a caption?
Describes or tells about a picture, usually next to or underneath a picture

What is a chart?
A sheet exhibiting information in tabular form.
What is the definition of objective?
Factual, related to reality or physical objects; not influenced by emotions, unbiased
