In the U.S. this is the Dollar. In Mexico it is the Peso. In many European countries it is the Euro. In China it is the Yuan. Many Roman emperors put their faces on Roman coins used as this.
Currency
Nomads crossing the desert are grateful for these. This is where they stop to get water for themselves and their animals.
Oasis
The Romans original religion was an example of this. The Vikings religion was also an example of this an included gods such as Thor, Odin, and Loki.
Polytheism
The period of time a king or monarch rules is called this.
Reign
This was a peasant who had very little freedom, and was stuck to the lord's land.
Serf
This occurs in many medieval marketplaces. Traders and merchants buy and sell from each other trying to make the best deals.
Commerce
Medieval trade routes are full of dangers, this is why traders and merchants travel in one of these.
Caravan
Christians took one of these trips to cities such as Jerusalem and Rome, while Muslims take one of these trips to the city of Mecca.
Pilgrimage
The English did this to Joan of Arc, charging her with crimes such as wearing men's clothing. This also happened to Muhammad and his early followers as some of them were tortured and their businesses boycotted.
Persecute/Persecuted
This type of person is a wanderer. They rely on their herds for survival, typically eating foods such as yogurt, cheese, and milk.
Nomad
This happened to Muhammad and his early followers businesses. Rosa Parks helped start one of the most famous examples of these in the history of the United States.
Boycott
A series of trade routes, originally connecting the Roman Empire with China, where goods such as Silk, glass, and spices were traded.
Silk Road
Muhammad's wife was the first one of these for Islam. As she changed from her polytheistic beliefs to become a follwer of Islam.
Convert
Rome began as a republic, but became one of these once they became ruled by an emperor (single person).
