The writing mode used to convince others and get your way.
Persuasive
A specific question, topic or issue given to inspire your writing.
Writing prompt
Sensory language that helps the reader imagine or visualize.
Imagery
Reading a classmates work to look for specific examples to compliment and specific suggestions for improvement.

The writing mode used to tell a story.
Narrative
A form of writing that is like a letter, but sent electronically. It should include a subject line, polite greeting, closing, and signature.
