What is the purpose of wearing a jersey in volleyball culture?
To show that you and your teammates work together as one unit and to create equality across teammates
How many points do you need to win a regular set in volleyball and how many do you need to win a tie breaker set? (Brownie point: Can a game score go above this goal number of points? Why?)
25 for a regular set, 15 for a tie breaker set, Yes! Teams have to win by 2 points, so if both teams continue to be within 2 points of each other, the game will continue until it is broken.
What are all the volleyball positions and their opposites?
Middle Blocker and Libero, Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist, Right Side and Setter
What does it mean to "pepper" in volleyball?
To pass, set, and hit a ball back and forth with a partner.
What is a backrow attack?

In serve our team is serving and we switch right away and in serve receive the other team is serving and we switch once we send the ball to the other side.

When they bump set or set with their hands behind the ten foot line
What is a "shank" in volleyball?
When the ball is served or hit at a player and the player in return has a wild uncontrolled pass that makes the ball unplayable for your teammates.

When two front row players on opposite sides of the net jump up to block, touch, or swipe the ball in an attempt to get it on the other side of the net.

Legal- serve receive pass, blocking and then touching the ball again

If we are serving, right when serving contact is made. If we are serve receiving, we switch once we send the ball back over after playing it. Outside- Left, Middle- Middle, Right Side- Right.

When a player, typically a front row hitter or blocker, hits or tips the ball into the block of the other team on purpose so that it goes out or hits the floor.
