This status for SSI/SSDI recipients requires a VR Counselor to make an eligibility determination on the same business day that verification is received.
Presumption of eligibility
A Trial Work Plan (TWP) must be developed no later than this many days after a person applies for services, and doing so meets the requirement for a timely eligibility decision.
60 days
This action is required when the frequency of VR Counseling and Guidance changes from a lower number of days to a higher number, but not when it changes from higher to lower.
IPE amendment
These are the five required activities that VR Counselors must provide to their Pre-ETS eligible customers.
1. Career exploration counseling

Before issuing an SA for Maintenance, a counselor must exhaust attempts to use a linked vendor and ensure the nonexistence of these.

ATF (After-the-Fact) SA
These are the three categories of visual impairment that TWC-VR recognizes.
1. Blindness 2. Low Vision 3. Significant Visual Impairment
Because TWE services are considered assessments, VR Counselors must not apply these requirements to determine a customer's financial contribution.
Basic Living Requirements (or BLR)
Though the frequency can change, the level and frequency of VR Counseling and Guidance listed on an IPE must not exceed this total number of days.
180 days
WIOA requires TWC-VR to reserve and expend a minimum of this percentage of their Federal funding solely for the provision of Pre-ETS.
15%
The approval of a TWC-VR Manager is required for a Service Authorization in this dollar range.

This agreement is needed when a VR Counselor cannot determine eligibility within 60 days due to unforeseen circumstance, and it is limited to 30 days at a time.
Extension of Time (EOT)
This plan must be developed as soon as a TWE provides enough information to determine a customer is eligible for services.
IPE (Individualized Plan for Employment)
A case note titled this is entered when the VR Counselor is unsuccessful in completing planned C&G.
Attempt to Complete C&G
A graduating high school senior remains eligible for Pre-ETS during these summer months, provided they are enrolled in a postsecondary program for the fall.

"Can We Talk?" brochure
VR counseling and guidance may be provided by these three methods.
In person, by phone, and through secure electronic communications.
This designation allows a Student with a Disability to receive Pre-ETS without having to apply for the full VR program.
Potentially Eligible
