This group organizes the annual SBES student symposium.
Who is the BMES Student Chapter?
(Hosted at VT and WF every other year. All students must participate in a poster yearly unless graduating. A final oral presentation must be done per each MS/PhD degree during graduating year)
Policy on professional presentation in a clinical setting, lab, or conference.
What is the SBES dress code?
(SBES students must wear professional clothing when in clinical areas or at a conference. Clean lab coats and scrubs also acceptable in lab/clinical settings. See handbook for more details.)

Minimum number of committee members allowed for a MS and PhD exam?
What is 3 for MS and 5 for PhD?
(For MS: the advisor plus 2 other faculty members with at least one being an engineer for MS. Students may add a 4th member)
(For PhD: the advisor and 4 other faculty members with at least 2 from SBES and 3 must be engineers. Students may add a 6th member)
You can only have 6 credit hours of this in the program, you cannot register for it yourself, and it must be approved by Dr. Opara and Dr. Lee before you can do it.
What are independent study courses?
(A syllabus and independent study form must be sent to Amanda Covey first)

Who is Jody Humphreys?
By default, the SBES Handbook grants this number of vacation days to graduate students each calendar year.
