Positive support strategies include ways to minimize situations or issues that are stressful for the individual and methods to help the individuals have maximum control over their life.

+ Never lift more than you can

+ Make sure you and the individual are wearing proper footwear to avoid slipping
+ Position your feet hip width distance apart with one foot in front of the other

What happens to an incident report after you write it? (UI)

WASCO administration develops a plan of prevention and notifies the individuals team of the incident.  From here, teams can discuss and develop further strategies if needed.

WASCO reviews monthly to identify trends/patterns.

Scenerio:  You are working with Bobby and when he unpacks his lunch he has 2 chocolate chip cookies.  Your coworker tells you that Bobby isnt supposed to eat chocolate chip cookies.  What do you do?

Ask  your coworker why they think that Bobby isnt supposed to eat chocolate chip cookies.

Review his ISP- if it is not listed as a food to avoid or restriction in his plan then Bobby can eat chocolate chip cookies.

Inform your coworker of your findings.
