Application wont produce Colleague ID
Student ordered transcripts BY MAIL and its been a week and they haven't received them
- wait two weeks
- adjust expectations for student, mailed in transcripts can take 3-5 weeks
- should still be check every few days for these
Add it to the "Course Request" Doc
- Use the library
- borrow a friends computer
- google computer resources
- We may loose student to program that offers laptops
- ensure when student is on this step that you communicate clearly which school year to submit
Readmit student hasn't turned MS
Student ordered transcripts DIGITALLY but still missing after a week
- have student email confirmation of "RECEIPT"
- submit WO with email confirmation attached
- see if under different student name/ get name change document
It has been a few days and no courses open still after submitting on the course request doc
Check if Course Request shows Brian has requested, if so HOLD TIGHT
If it has not been requested, Reach out to director
Student has little to no computer skills
- walk through app over phone
- adjust their expectations with doing school online
- do not hand hold
Student submitted, but we do not have it
- has it been 48 hours since they turned MS and FAFSA was submitted
- Student needs to check for school code
Grad application submitted w/out Bachelors
will need to submit new application
(this goes for certificate programs as well)
Transcripts received but not evaluated
- has it been five days?
- if so, submit WO
- WHAT DO WE DO WHEN ITS CLOSE TO A START?
Student cant register for class on Tuesday of start week
Have student wait for next start!!!!!
Student paying out of pocket, what do they need to do
- best practice, pay for classes one week before classes start
- setup payment plan at least one week before classes start.
Student has met aggregate limit
Financial aid will drop them if they have not connected with them with their financial plan to pay for school.
- student needs to connect with them before registering for classes
Student hasn't turned MS /Already uploaded ID
- Make sure ID did not have any notes on FILEBOUND screen or in report. IE blurry
- After 48 hours submit a WO
When should a student wait to register when ordering transcripts?
- when they will likely have over 30 credits
- if they have already taken English
- are they allowed to? are they on Academic Standing Review
- Will need to Petition for Academic Exception
SOC Video Interview Submission issues
- use Chat to connect with Luke and troubleshoot with student
- Communicate with director
Student did not get enough Pell grant
- Suggest loan repayment calculator on FAFSA website so they can visualize what repayment will look like
- Go through Straighterline options
Masters application has all items and is not MS
- Always move student to FAD in APSH Colleague except for SOC students
- After moving student to FAD submit WO
Checking transcripts, things did not come over correctly
- submit a work order with correct transfers of courses
- ALWAYS check over transcripts (golden rule)
Student has Reg Hold
- Check Student Status, what could it be
- Work with SSA for ASR if needed
International Student doesn't fall under category listed on website
- consult "Who can Study" document
- still confused? reach out to director
3rd Block Deferment confusion
- refer student to speak with financial aid, reassure that this block is applied to the next semester
- REFER TO FINANCIAL AID why????
