Anyone who wishes to make a donation should speak to the principal or assistant principal. The school board will need to approve some donations. Staff must request permission from the principal before seeking any kind of donation either online or through social media. This is considered “Crowd funding” and is not supported by BISD. Participating in Donors Choose or other donation programs are not allowed. All fundraisers must be approved by the principal ahead of time.

Friday will serve as a spirit day at Watauga Elementary where teachers are encouraged to wear a Watauga Elementary shirt, green/yellow, or cheetah print and jeans. On the final Friday of each month, the staff is encouraged to wear orange and black or a Haltom High shirt with jeans. A pass is not needed for any of these spirit Mondays and Fridays.
You see one of your student's parents walking in the hall to your classroom and notice that they don't have a visitor's badge. Is it okay to let them to your classroom without a visitor's badge since you recognize their face?
ALL visitors must check in with the office and have a visitor's badge to be in any part of the building.

Treats such as cupcakes will be shared the last 5 minutes of the day.
They should save the balloons and/or flowers at home as their daughter would not be able to store them in the classroom or at the office. It would be great for her to see them when she makes it home.
Their daughter will have to give the invitations out outside of school as she will not be able to give the invitations during the school day.
A substitute for the district is coming to cover your classroom while you are away. You are trying to decide if you should leave student Chromebooks unlocked so they can access their learning digitally. This outfit is only permitted on a Wednesday if the staff member is using a 'jean's pass'. The jeans pass must be turned in at the beginning of the day to Terri.
Mondays are college shirt Day and college shirts may be worn with professional jeans. No jeans passes are needed on Monday's College Shirt Day.

A request to show a movie in your room must be communicated to Admin. If a note is sent home to inform families about the movie seen during your class' Holiday party, it must also be approved by Admin before being sent out.

If your student is on the second consecutive day, the homeroom teacher is required to reach out to the family via email, text, or phone.
If the student is out for a third consecutive day and you were unable to reach the parent prior, a phone call is required and email Alicia and Stacie.
