Explain, how does a cold front differ from a warm front?  Must have at least three differences.

Cold front: brings more severe weather, temperatures will decrease, occurs when warm and cold air masses collide.

Warm front: brings mild precipitation, temperatures will increase, occurs when a warm air mass moves faster (in the same direction) as a cold air mass.

This past weekend in Raleigh we had a weather change.

Weather was sunny and warm.  We wore t-shirts!  We then had a lot of rain and temperatures dropped the next day and it was sunny.  We wore sweaters!

1.Was this a warm front or a cold front?  How do you know?

2.After the front passed, was it a high pressure or low pressure day? How do you know?

1. Cold front because it was more severe weather and the temperatures dropped as a result.

2. High pressure because we had clear skies and sunshine!
