Describe how Latitude affects climate
The closer a place is to the equator, the hotter the climate will be. Further=colder
Coastal areas often have smaller temperature changes between seasons than inland areas. This means coastal areas often have warmer winters and milder summers. Why do areas near the water have milder climates?
Water heats up and cools down more slowly than land. This keeps the temperature from changing drastically.
