This will tell you what the temperature is outside.
What is a thermometer?
This isn't actually a cloud. It is a word, that means rain, that is added to a cloud name.
What is nimbus?
This front tends to bring thunderstorms at its beginning, but then the air dries out and gets cooler.
What is a cold front?
This will direct you to the direction that the wind is coming from.
What is a wind or weather vane?
This is a lower level cloud that blankets (covers) the sky.
What is a stratus cloud?
This front may bring light rain or snow. The air then may be warmer and more humid.
What is a warm front?
This tool will tell you the air pressure. The lower the pressure (28) the worse or more stormy the weather and the higher the pressure (31) the dryer the air.
What is a barometer?
This cloud can be compared to cotton candy, since it is so puffy.
What is a cumulus cloud?
With this type of front, the weather may not change much or there may be clouds and light precipitation. There is very little wind since the front is not moving.
What is a stationary front?
Using this will tell you just how much precipitation fell the other night.
What is a rain gauge?
This cloud is found very high in the atmosphere. They are very thin and signal that a change is in the near future.
What is a cirrus cloud?
This type of front comes about due to the fact that two cold fronts converge and push the warm front that was between them high into the atmosphere. The temperature and wind direction are likely to change, with possible precipitation.
What is an occluded front?
How fast is that wind blowing. Use this tool and find out.
What is an anemometer?
These two different types of clouds are associated with rain.
What are cumulonimbus and nimbostratus clouds?
