Explain the process by which clouds form
In order for a cloud to form, we need warm moist air. When cold air moves in, the warm air will be pushed up into the atmosphere. As the warm air rises, it cools and the molecules in the air move closer together. This causes the water molecules to be "squeezed out" of the air.

When a warm air mass pushes into a cold air mass. The cold air mass is pushed back.
What is warm front

The weather in your area last week was cool and rainy. Then the weather turned clear and warm. This lasted several days. Then the weather became cool and rainy again. What caused these changes? Use the words warm air mass, cold air mass, and front in your answer.
These changes occurred because a warm front passed through the area. A moving mass of warm air overtook a cold air mass ahead of it. Then the warm air was replaced by cooler air. The cold front brought heavy rain because the air moves quickly and rises rapidly.
