A type of service that allows you to serve features over the Internet and provide the symbology to use when displaying the features. Clients can execute queries to get features and perform edits that can be applied to the server.

The reason why the layer is greyed out in the table of contents even though I'm pretty sure I added it correctly

The responsibility of the program that is sponsoring the application

A type of service that is faster as it displays images of the data rather than the actual linework.

The correct menu option to control what happens when I click on a feature in the map as well as configure what shows up in the attribute table
