What is a router?

What are website ASSETS?
Small program created by websites and saved by your web browsers. It remembers information about you, like browsing history, login information, username and passwords, etc. This information can then be shared with Facebook, Google etc. under certain circumstances.
What is a web cookie?
A machine learning technique that layers algorithms and computing units—or neurons—into what is called an artificial neural network (ANN). These algorithms can improve incorrect outcomes through repetition without human intervention. These deep neural networks take inspiration from the structure of the human brain.
What is deep learning?
A software application for retrieving, presenting and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web.
What is web browser?
A device or program that enables a computer to transmit data over, for example, telephone or cable lines.
What is a modem?
The file format for documents viewed using a browser.
What is HTML?
A type of advertising, mostly online, that matches the form and function of the platform upon which it appears, paid for by an advertiser intended to promote the advertiser's product.
What is native advertising?
When an AI system shows unpredictable or unintended capabilities that only occur when individual parts interact as a wider whole.
What is emergent behavior?
Uniform resource locator. Also known as a web address.
What is a URL?
The standard way to connect computers on a network over a wired connection.
These contain hierarchical information about how the content of a web page will be rendered in a browser.
What is CSS?
Text that is written into HTML to describe an image, media, etc. It is important to write a clear description of the image/media based on its relevancy to your site as its description is read by search engines and can be used to optimize your website's SEO.
What is ALT TEXT?
A deep learning technique designed to resemble the structure of the human brain. It requires large data sets to perform calculations and create outputs, which enables features like speech and vision recognition.
What is a neural network?
Every piece of hardware connected to the internet is assigned one of these.
What is an IP address?
Provides server space, web services and file maintenance for websites controlled by individuals or companies that do not have their own web servers.
What is a web host?
The most common server-side scripting language, allowing a web server to produce a web page "on the fly" based on data provided by the client.
What is PHP?
The percentage of website visitors who leave the site after viewing only one page. Average is 41-55% (lower is better).
What is bounce rate?
Used online to distinguish between a human user and a computer program, or bot. It's a challenge-response test that's easy for humans to solve but difficult for most bots to automate.
What is a CAPTCHA test?
A non-profit corporation that is responsible for allocating IP addresses and managing the domain name system.
What is ICANN?
Used to measure data transfer speeds of high bandwidth connections, such as Ethernet and cable modems.
What is MBPS?
A computer that runs special software to serve up Web content by responding to requests.
What is a web server?
A set of protocols that determine how two software applications will interact with each other. APIs tend to be written in programming languages such as C++ or JavaScript.
