A public debate or dispute concerning a matter of opinion.
What is controversy.
What are sentences that only have a subject and a predicate, and they express one complete thought.
Simple sentences?
A set of reasons given to support an opinion, often with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong.
What is an argument?
The person, place, thing, or idea that performs the action of the sentence.
Subject
The statement we argue.
What is a claim?
The part of a sentence that describes what the subject is doing or what the subject's state of being is.
What is a predicate?
is something that is generally agreed upon or accepted as fact, then there is no reason to try to convince people.
What is a non-debatable claim?
This is used when referring to a singular subject.
What is 'IS'.
"meeting in the middle" to make both people happy; it's about sharing and being flexible to reach an agreement.
What is a compromise?
This is used when referring to a plural subject.
What is 'ARE'.
