ROUTINES
This is the place that you ALWAYS hand in homework, tests/assignments.

The number of people allowed out to the bathroom at once.

The time you are allowed to leave for lunch.
What is "11:56 (when the lunch bell rings) and NOT at 12:16 (when the recess lunch bell rings)."
This makes Mrs. Romasco very happy when students do this without being asked.

"1) clean up after themselves
2) do their homework
3) study"
The place that you don't have to ask to use a supply (ruler, glue stick, bandage, tissue, paper, etc.)
What is "the cubby area"
These are the things you get as soon as you enter my class (unless told otherwise).
What are "math duotangs."
The thing you need when leaving the class for the bathroom and water fill (new rule)
What is "the paddle."
Where you are allowed to be in the school without permission or supervision during recess.
What is "nowhere."
What Mrs. Romasco wants all students to do at the end of the day, without being asked.
What is "stack the chairs properly (right number in each row and in the right location)"
*help with chairs in the morning and afternoon would be great - I will explain.
The worst way to be successful on an assessment or assignment.
What is "study/do it the night before only"
*You always know at least a week before and lots of class time is given.
These are the things you need to have everyday, especially on Mondays.
What are "indoor shoes."
Something that should never be brought to the bathroom and really should be in your bag for the whole day.
What is a "cell phone."
The place you have to: ask permission from the teacher on duty, don't use as a place to keep warm or hang and must NOT be the one in the intermediate hallway.
What is "the bathroom"
What you should be doing instead of visiting other classrooms to see and talk with your friends during class time.
What is "staying in your own class and doing your work/listening to the teacher."
I will also accept: "What is waiting until recess when it is a more appropriate time."
The statement you should never say to your teacher when she is asking for your assignment/homework.
What is "I didn't know that was due/for homework."
This is how the class should be when the bell rings outside.
What is "in a straight line."
Something that happens often when waiting for the bathroom but is technically not allowed.
What is "to pre-sign up in the sign out book."
The three things that are expected during indoor Recess.
What are:
"1) no use of tech (phones or computers - unless given permission).
2) stay sitting down/find a quiet activity to do (no throwing sports balls around) and clean up after yourself"
3) ask for permission to leave the class at all times
The activity you are doing if you looked at the board, checked Google Classroom or referred to your agenda.
What is "finding out what is for homework/due to be handed in."
The statement you should never say to your teacher when she is asking anything about your assignment, homework or classwork.
What is "but I wasn't here that day".
This is one goal for 2026 and what should be kept clean everyday by students taking responsibility for their own stuff.
What is the "coat/shoe rack."
The is one goal for 2026 and the time that you should really NOT leave the class for the bathroom or water.
What is "during a lesson or when instructions are being given."
This is one goal for 2026 and the rule if you forgot a piece of outdoor clothing or sporting equipment (a hat, gloves, a soccer ball, etc.)
What is "you are not allowed to come back inside when you have gone out for recess - so dress properly and remember everything you need."
These are ongoing goals and 1) what you are expected to show everyone in the school (younger and older) and 2) what you expected to be for the younger students
What is "1) respect and 2) role models"
This is one goal for 2026 and something you should do daily to avoid you having to do it, inconveniently, in class.
