Conduct yourself in a responsible manner at all times in the science room. Horseplay, practical jokes, and pranks will not be tolerated.

Report any accident (fire, spill, breakage, etc.), injury (cut, burn, etc.), or hazardous condition (broken equipment, etc.) to the teacher immediately. If you splash acid on you, immediately wash the area with plenty of running water and tell your teacher!

First thing you do when you walk in the room is check the Pick Up Station and pick up any papers you might need. This is the time for you to get your Desk Pet if you have one.
What should you do when a countdown from 5 happens
You stop talking by the time she gets to 0. Eyes on Ms. Moore, ears listening and voices should be off.
Do not touch any equipment, supplies, animals, or other materials in the science room without permission from the teacher.

Consider all chemicals used in the science room to be dangerous. Do not touch or smell any chemicals unless specifically instructed to do so.

A one-pager is a way for you to show your understanding of the topic and make connections between the key terms creatively.
What is Safety Rule #9
Clean all work areas and equipment at the end of the experiment. Return all equipment clean and in working order to the proper storage area.
Use extreme caution when using matches, a burner, or a hot plate. Only light burners when instructed and do not put anything into a flame unless specifically instructed to do so. Do not leave a lit burner unattended.

What should you do when the teacher says Chromebooks at 10
You close the lid of your Chromebook so it's not fully closed, but closed enough where you are not able to type on it.
What is Safety Rule #6?
During the lab keep hands away from face, eyes, and mouth while working with science materials, chemicals, or animals. After, wash your hands with soap and water before leaving the science room.

Treat all preserved specimens and dissecting supplies with care and respect. Do not remove preserved specimens from the science room. Use scalpels, scissors, and other sharp instruments only as instructed. Never cut any material towards you—always cut away from your body. Report any cuts or scratches from sharp instruments to the teacher immediately.

No cell phones are allowed unless you are listening to music.
What do you do when there is a sub
Go to Google Classroom and check to see if there is an assignment posted. If no assignment is posted, the sub says there is no plan left, AND you are not working on a long-term project

AAW stands for an article a week.

Perform only authorized and approved experiments. Do not conduct any experiments when the teacher is out of the room.

Handle all animals with care and respect. Open animal cages only with permission. Never handle any animals when the teacher is out of the room. Do not take animals out of the science room. Do not tease or handle animals roughly. Keep animals away from students’ faces. Wear gloves when handling animals. Report any animal bite or scratch to the teacher immediately.
