If you given the opportunity, would you rather spend the Winter break in a cold place with snow or somewhere warm near a beach?
Ms. Garcia prefers being wherever her family is. A warm Winter is something I've never experienced before.
When are grades due this semester?
Grades are due the last week of May. May 29th, to be exact.
In this class we are bucket-fillers. What does that mean?
It means that we use respectful language and we help others when it's appropriate.
Christmas and New Year's Day fall on the same weekday. What day of the week do they fall on this year?

Student Led Conferences were supposed to be the week of March 23rd. It has been changed. What week will we have SLCs?
We will have a special schedule that week.
What food did you enjoy having during the break?
I enjoyed making crab legs for Christmas Eve -that was a first for me.
If you earned an "F" last semester, but you pass math class this semester, do you have to retake the first semester?
No, you do not.
However, keep in mind that some schools after high school do require passing each semester of math.
What is the number one priority in this class?
Maintain a safe environment.

We were supposed to have Friday, March 20th off, but we will now have school that day. Don't worry, you still get a day off, but it's happening, when?

What did you spend most of your time doing during the break?
I spent a lot of time playing Clash Royale the first week of Winter break. Arena 21!
What month are student-led conferences this semester?
March.......Monday, March 16rd - Friday, March 20th
There is school, but we will have special minimum days that week. NOTE: No School March 13 instead of March 20th
Imagine you had your phone out in class. The tardy bell hasn't rung, will miss Garcia expect you to put your phone on her table?
Yes.
The no phone expectation means that your phone is out of sight BEFORE you enter class.
Remember, even if you are not using your phone, your phone should be out of sight.

What was the highlight of your Winter break?
Mine was spending everyday with my husband and children.

If you are making the effort in class to learn, but you need extra support, what can you do to get more help?
You can ask a classmate in your College Seminar class to help you. You can go to Khan Academy to get more practice there and watch videos on the topic. You can come to office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What is Ms. Garcia very sad about?
Saying goodbye to her students at the end of the semester. I really enjoy being your teacher!
