What does it mean to fill up someone's bucket?

  • Everyone has an invisible bucket that represents their feelings and emotional well-being.

  • When you do something kind, like giving a compliment, helping a friend, inviting someone to play, you “fill their bucket,” meaning you make them feel happier, valued, and cared for.

  • When someone is unkind—like teasing, excluding, or being disrespectful, they “dip” into another person’s bucket, which makes them feel sad or discouraged.
