What is a Wellness Center Activity
Support in using skills that help us focus, plan, prioritize, work toward goals, self-regulate behaviors and emotions, adapt to new and unexpected situations, and ultimately engage in abstract thinking and planning.

Universal lessons on wellness topics offered to an entire class, club or team
What is SEL?
Supporting students who are struggling with issues related to family dynamics, family relationships or difficulties at home.
What is Family/Home Issue?
Walk-in students can miss no more than one per week.
What is one period?
Google form that students enter their information in when arriving to the Wellness Center.
What is a sign-in sheet?
The progress note completed after each Individual Session with a student.
What is a DSN note?
This group does not require parent consent.
What is a workshop?
Connecting how thoughts impact feelings and behaviors, utilizing the cognitive behavioral triangle.

Brief exit survey students complete after a walk-in service.
What is a sign-out form?
Any supportive or collaborative communication offered to school staff.
What is Staff Communication?
Specific skills including diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, visualization, journaling, and other skills.
What are Coping Skills?
Writing activity students participate in that may involve prompts.
What is journaling?
Paper that allows a student to go into the Wellness Center as a walk-in.
What is a hall pass?
Drink that if used on campus must be reported to an administrator?
Individual support of a student without a scheduled appointment of permission slip.
What is a Walk-in?
Education and support related to a tragic event that occured in the community
What is Community Tragedy Support?
Small toy or item that students may use for regulation purposes in the Wellness Center.
