What are the rules for the house phone?
Only staff answers & personal phone calls are to be less than 20 minutes or less.
Where can one get books to read?
Mini library by the kitchen doors
Are there quiet hours?
Yes. We really just want to be mindful of other people's schedule, and it might be different from ours. No loud noises throughout the day and night
What is group?
Free response (Up to facilitator if correct)
What are the rules for answering the door?
- Only staff should answer the door. No resident should ever open the door.
- Residents should let staff know whenever they will be opening the door
- Residents need to let staff know when someone is at the door
Where is it okay to eat your mail?
Anywhere BUT YOUR ROOM and BATHROOM.
By what time should chores get done?
Ideally, before NOON. Chores should not carry on to next staff’s shift, unless it is PM kitchen clean up.
What are the expectations or rules for group?
- Try to learn with an open mind
- What gets said at group, stays there
- NO PHONES ALLOWED
- BE ON TIME
- Respect staff and one another
What times are group?
8AM, 10AM, 8PM
What should one do if they see something that goes against program protocol?
Report it to staff immediately.
What time is curfew and what are the rules around it
Curfew is at 8PM. No one should be late unless they are at work or experiencing a health emergency. One should manage their free time in order to be on time for curfew.
What should be the attitude daily when attending group?
Try to put aside outside problems and be fully present for group therapy. Be open-minded and willing to learn anything new or old. BE TEACHABLE
Name three expectations for room and bathroom. Be specific.
- No contraband
- Clean and no clutter
- No personal items on bathroom countertop
- Vacuumed and mopped
etc. etc. etc
What are the rules for visiting other residents hallways or rooms?
Residents should not be in other hallways or other resident's room for ANY reason.
What are the consequences for consistent disrespectful behavior or not following program protocol? EX: Pattern of not doing chores, missing group, being disrespectful, not having a clean room, etc
What is the protocol if you miss group therapy?
It is your responsibility to make up group upon first chance, one gets or upon arrival.
