A trigger can be anything that reminds the child OR ADULT of the abuse. It can be related to sight, smell, taste, touch, and sound.

No. Physical abuse is a tool use to maintain control, but there are other forms of abuse that are considered just as serious. Emotional Verbal and Financial abuse which should be taken seriously.
