Yes!
What are A and B days?
You will have a total of 8 classes each semester your freshman year, the first 4 on A days and the second 4 on B days.
Can we wear hats in school?
YES!!!
Do I have to go to high school?
YES OR YOU WON'T GET ANY CREDITS TO GRADUATE! YOU NEED CREDITS!
Are the coaches good?
Every coach is awesome!
Is it hard?
It challenges you but is a lot easier if you work on good habits now (using class time wisely, turning work in on time, going to every class, etc.)
How long is each class?
90 minutes which is one and a half hours long, so much time for learning! Woohoo!
How many dances are there?
Right now just homecoming and prom!
Do we have to pass all of our classes?
Yes, with a D or better!
Baseball: are the coaches good, is the team good?
Check the website for stats!
Are there culinary classes at Longmont High school?
No, but there is at the Career Elevation and Technology Center which you can take classes at while in high school (we will talk more about this soon).
Do we get to choose our electives?
Yes, as long as you register on time! We will do that here at school so make sure you are here everyday!
Do we get dorms?
No, that's only in college.
What are credits?
Credits are the "points" you earn from passing each class. In order to graduate you have to earn 24.5 credits.
Is soccer separated girls from boys or are they together?
They are separated, boys soccer is in the fall and girls soccer is in the spring.
Are the teachers nice?
If you are nice and do your work :)
Can you have multiple free periods?
No, freshman don't get any free periods! Your free period is Saturday and Sunday!
Is the High school experience like high school musical?
Only if you sing your heart out through the hallways and work on your dance routine!
How many credits do I get for my math class that is all year, if I pass it?
1 credit = 1 year for one class
If we were in volleyball in middle school can we be in high school?
Of course! Practice, practice, and practice because you aren't guaranteed to make the team.
Why do we use planners?
To teach you one way to organize all your homework, because you won't be able to remember it all next year. It is good to write it down so you don't forget!
What are Longmont Highs school hours?
Class starts at 7:45am and the day ends at 2:45pm
Do we get recess?
There isn't a playground but you can go outside during your lunch :)
How many credits do I get for my English (Language Arts) class that is all year, if I pass it?
1 credit = 1 year for one class
