Theatre and Theater
Both are correct spellings of the word and mean the same thing.
Intended to be performed, contains a cast of characters. These are written to express a mood.
What is a script?
The very middle of the stage.

When a character says or does something that is inconsistent or "doesn't fit" with the scene?
What is breaking character?
That which happens on stage to hold the attention of the audience.
What is an action?
"A performance created by live actors and intended for a live audience, typically of scripted language."

What the actors say in a performance.
What is dialogue?
The front of a traditional stage. Usually the overhang.
What is the apron?
A creation on stage with little or no practice.
What is Improv?
Precise movement and positioning of actors on stage.
What is blocking?
The term used to cover all parts of theatre including acting, tech crew and the field.
What are theatre arts?
What the actors do and feel, where on the stage they are supposed to be. These are typically italicized or in a different font.
What are stage directions?
The front of the stage apron where the audience is seated.
What is the Front of The House or FOH?
To ad-lib or invent dialogue.
What does Improvise mean?
Offering valid opinions about the work of others. These are positive not negative comments. To help not to harm.
What is Constructive Criticism?
personalities portrayed by an actor in a show.
What is a character?
A list of names of the people in a play. Usually at the beginning of the script.
What is the cast of characters?
Facing away from the audience or putting your back toward the audience during a performance.
What is Upstaging ?
A verbal command starting or ending a scene.
What does it mean when a director says curtain?
The fuel that drives acting.
What is Energy?
A presentation on stage b actors or actresses.
What is acting?
The way plays are written specifically for performance.
What is dramatic structure?
The imaginary line that the actors and actresses can not cross.
