A message from God given to a person.
What did God tell Abraham to do to his son and why?
He told Abraham to sacrifice his son, to show his faith in God.
What does the bible say the Messiah would have to do for us?
He would suffer as a sacrifice to take our sins away.
When they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.
New Testament, John 19:33
A prophet prays to God, and God speaks to them.
How did the Messiah crush the devil's head?
Jesus died on the cross and rose again.
Why do we need the Messiah?
We are sinners, the cost of our sins is death. We can’t pay that price ourselves, but Jesus Christ paid that price for us already.
They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.

What did God prophecy to Eve about her children?
They would crush the devil's head.
How did Jesus react when He saw people selling cattle and exchanging money in the temple?
He flipped over tables and drove them out of the temple with a whip.

He would have many descendants and through them the world would be blessed.
Why is the Messiah called Everlasting Father?
Because he rules over God's kingdom forever.
What are the names the Messiah would be called?
Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty God, Everlasting Father.
When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

When Jesus felt distressed before the crucifixion, what did he do?
He prayed to God that he would not have to be crucified, but that the Lord's will would be done.
