Why was the relationship between the Wendat people and the Jesuit missionaries  often difficult? Mention two reasons for this tension. (250 / each)

1- Tension increased when Europeans brought diseases such as smallpox and measles. These illnesses spread quickly and killed many Wendat people.

2-  They had different beliefs, languages, and ways of life. The Jesuits believed Catholicism was the only true religion and tried to convert the Wendat, which caused mistrust.
