Name one way colonial subjects were able to turn colonial schools/education against the Europeans.

Once people could read in the languages of Europe, they could read European thinkers who argued that everyone deserved liberty or equality, and use that to make an argument Europeans would listen to, AND they could use a more common shared language to organize resistance against colonizers. School also trained them for government jobs, which they could use for internal sabotage, or government coups, or even diplomatic negotiation.
