What time does school start?
8:00 am
How much homework should I expect each week? - In this class?
You should expect homework once a week! - This will be used to check your understanding on a topic!
Where do we turn in our assignments?
Along the side wall (below the books!)
Can I have/use a smartwatch?
A smartwatch is considered a cellular device and if you are caught using it will be confiscated just like a cellphone!
Does Mrs. Williams prefer the beach or the mountains?
The beach!
Are we allowed to chew gum in this class?
No! The carpet is new and clean - Let's keep it that way!
Can Mrs. Williams help you with your math homework after school?
No! But you can sign up for tutoring afterschool. Tutoring is available most days. You must sign up before lunch. Ask your advocacy teacher for assistance signing up!
Can we choose our own seats?
No! You will ALWAYS have a seating chart!
What happens if my name is not on my paper?
There will be a "graveyard". If you notice you have a zero but feel like you turned in the assignment, check the stack to see if you forgot to put your name!
How long has Mrs. Williams been teaching at Wilbur?
This is my 3rd year here!
Can we use our phones during recess or lunch?
No! Phones must remain off and in your lockers at all times!
What should I do if I don't understand an assignment?
Ask for help! Ask the teacher, the para, or another student (make sure it is ok first)!
What do we do if we finish early in this class?
Use the time to read! This is your ELA class... When in doubt, read!
Do we go to the library in this class?
Invisibility!
What do I do with my school ID?
You must WEAR your school ID at all times!
Can I turn in my (late) homework for partial credit in this class?
Yes, and sometimes for FULL credit!
How do we ask to go to the restroom?
You will be using something called ehall pass!
When can I sharpen my pencil?
Anytime the teacher is not giving direct instruction.

What should we do during a fire drill or tornado drill?
Do we line up at the door before the bell rings to be dismissed?
NO! Please remain seated and wait for the bell. I will dismiss you each class!
