This scavenger was kept as a pet and able to be called with a little bell, but she stuck around the SandWing palace and ultimately saved the brightest night. (The official artwork for her is also the basis for most fan calculations of dragon heights!)
Rose (Flower)
An artist originally known for creating the Inktober challenge, this individual cemented his role in Wings of Fire history by doing art for the Darkstalker graphic novel.
Jake Parker
The actions of this warm-hearted dragon stealing a prince as her lover led to a feud that appeared even in the first book, with the cold-blood (lol) murders of multiple IceWings trapped in Scarlet’s arena.
Hope (Foeslayer)
In a rather horrific fashion, this dragon forced her flaming champion to burn every SkyWing egg even close to hatching on the brightest night, before eventually meeting her own demise at the claws of one of her daughters who was forced to watch the infanticide.
Scarlet
Known for her forbidden romance, this one of Glacier’s daughters promised she wouldn’t challenge her sister Snowfall for the throne.
Crystal
This scavenger was kept by Winter as a school pet novelty, and was chased around the prey center before stumbling into Moonwatcher.
Bandit
Honestly, I still can’t believe it - this artist started as a fan artist and is now working for Scholastic, creating art for auxiliary books like “How to Draw” and “The Official WoF Stickerpedia”.
Brianna C. Walsh (Peregrinecella)
This snail-obsessed SkyWing was presumed dead for a dozen books before surprising us by showing his pale, fireless scales in Legends: Dragonslayer.
Sky
This dragon went on a dramatic killing spree, turning the seawater red, before getting a taste of his own violence from the grandson he was set on killing.
Albatross
This dragonet features in the epilogue of Legends: Darkstalker, one of Fathom and Indigo’s three children.
Cowrie, Ripple, or Clearpool
This Pantalan scavenger was first observed in the cavern attempting to read a dragon book, being described as a “human version of Cricket”.

Perhaps not foreshadowing for us, but foreshadowing for her mom - this dragon famously said "I did this all wrong. You're going to rule forever, aren't you, Mother? You should thank me. No one can stop you now."

This SkyWing was, in cruel irony, dramatically dropped from the sky, flinching away from a flaming paw outstretched to save him.
Osprey
I’m seeing double! This twin was framed by her sister, a lover of Prince Smolder, and went mad in her false imprisonment, as mentioned in Fierceteeth’s letters.
Prickle
This dragon (yes, I cheated the category) went on a mission with Clearsight to go rescue a pair of class scavenger pets, ultimately setting off a string of events to cause Clearsight to be hired to be the royal futureseer.
Listener
A WoF staple that only the keenest of eyes would’ve picked up, this designer did work on the first book and his skilled contributions are still being used today, featuring in every book’s front matter.
Phil Falco or Mike Schley
This dragon makes an observation of half of a butterfly-like dragon wing in Burn’s weirdling tower - a subtle hint towards the lost continent.

Starting out with a bang, this dragon’s death opens the first book’s prologue and gives you a gruesome taste of what’s to come.
