What event first got Band instruments into a classroom.
There are many leading and subsequent event, but I am looking for the pivotal moment.
WW1, after the war military bands would just drop their instruments on the sidewalk to in desperation to see their families. Civilians would pick these instruments up and learn to play them.
They were then institutionalized in classroom to give everyone the opportunity to learn.
