In Greek mythology, which three gods are responsible for fall and winter?
Persephone, Hades, and Demeter
Persephone was abducted by Hades for her to become his wife. Demeter, Persephone's mother, became very sad because she did not know where her daughter was. As she was the goddess of the harvest all of the crops died. Zeus decided to make a deal with Hades that Persephone would go down to the underworld only part of the year. When Persephone goes to the underworld Demeter gets sad and the crops die. Which is why we have fall & winter.
