- Ask to see through IU mobile application (not Mobile ID)
- Ask for driver's license/ state ID/ passport
-Collect information if student goes elsewhere (HS ID, Purdue ID, etc.)
-Call IUPD if no identification present
What are words that should be avoided in IRs that refer to people?

How is alcohol disposed of?
- Walk with resident to sink/ bathroom to have them pour out alcohol
-Walk with resident to trash/recycling cans on floor or in basement
-you never touch alcohol containers!

- get walkie talkie from Center Desk if safe to do so
-help get residents out of the building and away from doors/ keep outside until given the all-clear

What should you not promise residents if they ask you and instead say "you'll meet with a professional staff member"?
- an outcome to their situation
-whether or not they'll be found responsible or not responsible
What should you check before submitting an IR?
- Spelling and grammar
- Does it make sense?
- Residents' information
What should you do if you smell marijuana?
- work to identify area/ room where smell is coming from
