You may want to bookmark the transfer & first-year placement exam chart to quickly answer student's questions on these. Remind students they are to PLACE them into the appropriate course and will have an opportunity to discuss results with their advisor at Orientation.

After a student is invited to register for Orientation, how do they register?
Through Wolverine Access!
A student who has either paid their enrollment deposit or it was waived, thus accepting admission to the University of Michigan.

Is Orientation mandatory?
Yes! All portions of Orientation are considered mandatory.
Does ONSP conduct orientation for Graduate Students?
No! They need to contact their program directly for more information.

Is there a parent/family orientation?
Parent/family orientation will be an online canvas course! More information will be available in late May or June.
Can students register for classes before orientation?
No! All incoming students must register for classes through online orientation.
Why might a student only see one or two orientation sessions/dates?
Their academic unit may only offer seats on certain days or seats on the other days might be full!
The specific school, college, and program that a student was admitted to and determines what Orientation sessions they can go to.

I can't register for Orientation, can you just sign me up?
No. Verify that the student is matriculated by pulling up their information in Wolverine Access and that they are an incoming undergraduate Ann Arbor student. Try walking them through registration if those two things are done. We want students to register themselves initially for Orientation sessions.
