Jesus cast out evil spirits and healed me as well as other women. I was one of several women who traveled with Jesus and his disciples as we received counseling according to our individual needs. I generously used my own funds to help care for their needs. (Luke 8:1-3)

I followed Jesus until the end of his ministry and remained close by when he was executed. I had the privilege of being among the first to see Jesus after he was resurrected. (John 20:11-18)

Like my husband, I literally fell down dead after cheating the early church.

We both died at Peter's feet after holding back a portion of the proceeds of a land sale.

My husband only laid a part of the money at the apostles’ feet. Peter, who was filled with the power of the Spirit knew instantly that my husband was lying about giving him all of the proceeds —not just to him but to God—and exposed his hypocrisy then and there. My husband fell down and died

When I showed up, I also lied to Peter and to God, and said that we had donated the entire proceeds of the sale of the land to the church. When my lie had been exposed, I also fell down and died at Peter’s feet.

The angels told my husband: ‘Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters and get out of here!’ My family were a little slow in going, and so the angels took us by the hand and led us out of the city. One of the angels said: ‘Run for your lives! Don’t look back. Run to the hills, so that you won’t be killed.’

My husband and daughters obeyed and ran away from Sodom. But I disobeyed. After we had gone some distance from Sodom, I stopped and looked back and became a pillar of salt.

I held a grudge against John the Baptist because he informed my husband that it was unlawful for him to have his brother's wife. I arranged to have John the Baptist placed in prison and plotted to have him beheaded.

I had an opportunity during my husband’s birthday party to set plan in motion.  During the banquet, my daughter performed a provocative dance designed to arouse the audience with lust. Her performance greatly pleased the king and his guests, and my husband said to her, “Ask me for anything you like, and I will give it to you . . . up to half my kingdom!”

With these words, my husband flaunted his generosity and greatness before his guests, but soon he would deeply regret this vow.

My daughter asked me, “What should I ask for?” I replied, “Ask for the head of John the Baptist!” Not skipping a beat, my daughter hurried back to Herod and said, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter”
